Central Station

Antwerpen-Centraal, often called the Railway Cathedral, is widely regarded as one of the world's most beautiful train stations. Designed by Louis Delacenserie and inaugurated in 1905, it features a majestic 75-metre-high dome and a monumental waiting hall decorated with over 20 types of marble.

Antwerp

The Grote Markt is the central square of Antwerp, situated in the heart of the old city quarter. It is surrounded by the city's Renaissance Town Hall, as well as numerous guildhalls with elaborate façades. The square also has many restaurants and cafés, and it lies within walking distance of the Scheldt river. The Grote Markt hosts a Christmas market and ice rink every winter. The Brabo Fountain is located in the middle of the square.

Antwerp skyline

The best view of the Antwerp skyline is from Linkeroever (left bank). The cathedral dominates the skyline, with its 123.92 meters of height in flamboyant Gothic style, and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The Boerentoren, in Art Deco style, is the first skyscraper in the European continent.

Cathedral of Our Lady

The Cathedral of Our Lady is the symbol of Antwerp and an iconic treasury, with an impressive collection of major art works, including a series of paintings by Rubens. With a height of 123 metres, it's the highest Gothic building in the Low Countries. The belfry of the cathedral is included in the Belfries of Belgium and France entry in the list of Unesco World Heritage Sites.
