Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee, also called Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth, is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world, at levels between 215 metres and 209 metres below sea level.

Tabgha is an area situated on the north-western shore of the Sea of Galilee. It is traditionally accepted as the place of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the fourth resurrection appearance of Jesus after his Crucifixion.

Capernaum was a fishing village established during the time of the Hasmoneans, located on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. It had a population of about 1,500. Archaeological excavations have revealed two ancient synagogues built one over the other.

Overlooking the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galileej, Mount of Beatitudes, believed to be the setting for Jesus’ most famous discourse, offers an enchanting vista of the northern part of the lake and across to the cliffs of the Golan Heights on the other side.

Jaffa Clock Tower

The Old City of Jaffa is the historical part of the Israeli city of Jaffa. A neighborhood with art galleries, restaurants, theaters, museums, and nightclubs, it is one of Tel Aviv's main tourist attractions. The Jaffa Clock Tower stands in the middle of the north end of Yefet Street in Jaffa, part of Tel Aviv. The tower, built of limestone, incorporates two clocks and a plaque commemorating the Israelis killed in the battle for the town in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. It is one of seven clock towers built in Palestine during the Ottoman period.

Flags of the World - Israel

The flag of Israel was adopted in 1948, five months after the establishment of the State of Israel. It depicts a blue hexagram on a white background, between two horizontal blue stripes. The blue stripes are intended to symbolize the stripes on a tallit, the traditional Jewish prayer shawl. The symbol in the center represents the Star of David, a widely acknowledged symbol of the Jewish people and of Judaism. In Judaism, the colour blue symbolises God's glory, purity and gevurah (God's severity). The White field represents Chesed (Divine Benevolence)

Greetings from... Israel

Greetings from... Israel with a view of the Dead Sea, a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River. Its surface and shores are 430.5 metres below sea level, Earth's lowest elevation on land.

CCUN - Israel

CCUN Israel with a view from Tel Aviv, a five-story building in the Florentin neighborhood with the largest ever graffiti project by Mexican street artist Libre.  The mural on the walls of the old Honigman factory on Salameh Street is part of a project that partners real-estate groups, Tel Aviv City Council and artists, turning this abandoned building into a public art space.

The Bahai Shrine

The Shrine of the Bab, located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, is where the remains of the Bab are buried. It is considered to be the second holiest place on Earth for Bahá'ís, after the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh in Acre. The Shrine is enhanced by 19 garden terraces that stretch one kilometre from the base of Mount Carmel to its summit, and both the terraces and the Shrine are illuminated at night.The Bahá'ís consider the Shrine of the Báb and the surrounding gardens to be a "gift to humanity."

Masada

Masada is a rugged natural fortress, of majestic beauty, in the Judaean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea. It is a symbol of the ancient kingdom of Israel, its violent destruction and the last stand of Jewish patriots in the face of the Roman army.
It was built as a palace complex, in the classic style of the early Roman Empire, by Herod the Great, King of Judaea. The camps, fortifications and attack ramp that encircle the monument constitute the most complete Roman siege works surviving to the present day.
