Safari de Peaugres

March 21, 2025

The largest animal park in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes has been home to African lions since it opened in 1974. Previously on the car circuit, they were transferred to the walking circuit in 2002 in an enclosure crossed by an impressive glass tunnel which allows for a sensational face-to-face encounter! Three lion cubs were born in August 2023, offspring of Kananga and Makani. It had been almost 20 years since the Ardèche zoo had seen such a birth.

Zoo Atlanta

December 12, 2024

Zoo Atlanta is located in historic Grant Park, just minutes from Downtown Atlanta. It is home to the three adult African lion brothers Hondo, Hatari and Azizi. Hondo is the largest of the Zoo’s trio, and is usually the dominant lion in the group. Other highlights include one of North America’s largest populations of great apes, including gorillas and orangutans. Recent transformations include the African Savanna, where you’ll find African elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and other iconic species from one of Earth’s most legendary landscapes.

Many thanks Jennifer

Zoo Eberswalde

July 13, 2024

Zoo Eberswalde has the most exciting lion enclosure in the world: visitors pass through a tunnel to a fully glazed cave in the middle. From there you have a direct view of the big cats stalking around and vice versa. The zoo is located in a forest area about 40 kilometers northeast of Berlin and is home to native and exotic animals such as lions, tigers, cheetahs, parrots, camels, flamingos, kangaroos, penguins and monkeys on around 15 hectares.

From Kenya

February 21, 2024

A beautiful lion sent from Kenya. The lion, is the largest of Africa's big cats, and is commonly reffered to as the King of the Jungle. In Kenya, you can spot these sublime creatures while on a wildlife safari in most of Kenya's National Parks and Reserves. It is estimated that there are close to 2000 to 2500 Lions in the Kenya's National Parks, Reserves and conservancies. Lions are most active at night and live in a variety of habitats but prefer grassland, savanna, dense scrub, and open woodland.

Thank you Zhang!
