Zhinvali Reservoir

Zhinvali Reservoir is a striking turquoise-blue artificial lake located on the Aragvi River, in the Caucasus Mountains, roughly 70 kilometers north of Tbilisi. Completed in 1985, it supplies drinking water to about half of Tbilisi and features scenic mountain views alongside the historic Ananuri Fortress Complex. It spans a surface area of 11.5 square kilometers and reaches a maximum depth of 75 meters.

Stryn

Stryn is a municipality located in the Nordfjord region of Vestland county, Western Norway. It consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan and Manaranjan, with a wide machi surrounding the two Balekillas. The fort played a strategic role in the First Anglo-Maratha War and has been declared as a protected monument. Wollyubong Peak

Wollyubong Peak (407m) is a renowned scenic destination in Yeongdong-gun, South Korea, famously known as the "peak where the moon stops". It is one of the Eight Sights of Hancheon and is celebrated for its dramatic cliffs that rise above the winding Seokcheon Stream. Burana Tower

The Burana Tower is one of Kyrgyzstan's most iconic historical landmarks, located about 80 km east of Bishkek near the town of Tokmok. It is a large minaret and the last remaining vestige of the 9th-century ancient city of Balasagun, which was once a major capital of the Karakhanid Khanate and a key stop along the Silk Road. Originally standing at 45 meters tall, the tower's top half was destroyed by an earthquake in the 15th century, leaving it at its current height of approximately 25 meters. You can climb the steep, narrow internal staircase to the top for panoramic views of the Chuy Valley and the Tian Shan mountains. The surrounding field is filled with balbals, ancient stone grave markers with detailed carvings of faces.

Kurobe Gorge

Kurobe Gorge is Japan's deepest V-shaped gorge, located in Toyama Prefecture's Northern Alps. Famous for the Kurobe Gorge Railway trolley train, it features stunning scenery, over 40 tunnels, 20 bridges, and secluded hot springs like Kuronagi. Operations generally run from April to November, with peak autumn colors in late October to early November. It flows down 86km in length and 3,000m in elevation. The bright red Shin Yamabiko Bridge marks the entrance to the Kurobe Gorge. With a length of 166 meters, it is the longest bridge to span the Kurobe River. The area was designated the Chūbu-Sangaku National Park.

Mount Emei

Mount Emei is an area of striking scenic beauty. It is also of great spiritual and cultural importance because of its role in the introduction of Buddhism into China. The conscious siting of so many of the cultural monuments, particularly of traditional architecture, within the natural environment makes it a cultural landscape of very high order. Mount Emei is the place where Buddhism first became established on Chinese territory and from where it spread widely through the East. The first Buddhist temple in China was built on the summit of Mount Emei in the 1st century CE. It became the Guangxiang Temple, receiving its present royal name of Huazang in 1614.

Matterhorn

The Matterhorn is a mountain of the European Alps, straddling the main watershed and border between Switzerland and Italy. It is a large, near-symmetric pyramidal peak in the extended Monte Rosa area of the Pennine Alps, whose summit is 4,478 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest summits in the Alps and Europe. Sometimes referred to as the Mountain of Mountains, it has become an indelible emblem of the Alps and is claimed to be the most photographed mountain in the world.

The Glarus Alps

The Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona in the north-eastern part of the country covers a mountainous area of 32,850 ha which features seven peaks that rise above 3,000 m. The area displays an exceptional example of mountain building through continental collision and features excellent geological sections through tectonic thrust, i.e. the process whereby older, deeper rocks are carried onto younger, shallower rocks. The site is distinguished by the clear three-dimensional exposure of the structures and processes that characterize this phenomenon and has been a key site for the geological sciences since the 18th century. The Glarus Alps are glaciated mountains rising dramatically above narrow river valleys and are the site of the largest post-glacial landslide in the Central Alpine region.

Mount Fuji

Lake Ashi is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture on Honshū, Japan. It is a crater lake situated along the southwestern wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano that last erupted in 1170 CE at Ōwakudani. The lake is known for its views of Mount Fuji, its numerous hot springs, historic sites, and traditional ryokan. It lies along the historic Tōkaidō road, the main route linking Kyoto and Tokyo. Pleasure boats and ferries operate on the lake, several of which are styled after sailing warships.

Shinkansen

The Shinkansen or bullet train is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan. It was initially built to connect distant Japanese regions with Tokyo, the capital, to aid economic growth and development. Beyond long-distance travel, some sections around the largest metropolitan areas are used as a commuter rail network.The original Tokaido Shinkansen, connecting Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, three of Japan's largest cities, is one of the world's busiest high-speed rail lines.
