The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of The 20th-Century Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, which includes eight major works spanning fifty years of Wright’s career.

Gapstow Bridge

Gapstow Bridge spans the Pond in the southeast corner of Central Park. Its rustic stone construction, much of which is covered in vines, blends in with the surrounding landscape. The current Gapstow Bridge was built in 1896 to replace a more elaborate bridge with distinctive cast-iron elements that deteriorated.

St. Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick's Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. It is the seat of the Archbishop of New York as well as a parish church. The cathedral occupies a city block bounded by Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue, 50th Street, and 51st Street, directly across from Rockefeller Center. It is the largest Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral in North America. The cathedral is clad in marble and has several dozen stained glass windows. The bronze doors that form the cathedral's main entrance on Fifth Avenue are flanked by towers with spires rising 100 m. The northern tower contains nineteen bells, and the interior has two pipe organs.

Statue of Liberty

Made in Paris by the French sculptor Bartholdi, in collaboration with Gustave Eiffel who was responsible for the steel framework, this towering monument to liberty was a gift from France on the centenary of American independence. Inaugurated in 1886, the sculpture stands at the entrance to New York Harbour and has welcomed millions of immigrants to the United States ever since. Its design and construction were recognized at the time as one of the greatest technical achievements of the 19th century and hailed as a bridge between art and engineering.

Bronx Zoo

There's nothing like a mother's love! Mom and baby pairs, pictured here (clockwise from top left): Amur tigers, squirrel monkeys, western lowland gorillas, reticulated giraffes, Coquerel's sifakas.

Home to more than 6,000 animals, the zoo spans 265 acres that re-create the diverse natural habitats of its numerous residents. It is located within Bronx Park in the Bronx, New York City.

Central Park

Central Park is an urban park in New York City located between the Upper West and Upper East Sides of Manhattan. Central Park comprises 843 acres of rolling meadows, boulder-studded outcroppings, elm-lined walkways, manicured European-style gardens, a lake and a reservoir — not to mention an outdoor theater, a memorial to John Lennon, an idyllic waterside eatery and a famous Alice in Wonderland statue. Highlights include the 15-acre Sheep Meadow,  Central Park Zoo and the forest-like paths of the Ramble.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, located at the World Trade Center site, will remember and honor the nearly three thousand people who were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993, document the events of 9/11, and educate for a better future.

Guggenheim Museum

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is an art museum located at in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan. It is the permanent home of a continuously expanding collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern, and contemporary art and also features special exhibitions throughout the year. The Guggenheim Museum has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of The 20th-Century Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, which includes eight major works spanning fifty years of Wright’s career.  The Guggenheim Museum is arguably the most important building of Wright's late career. A monument to modernism, the unique architecture of the space, with its spiral ramp riding to a domed skylight, continues to thrill visitors and provide a unique forum for the presentation of contemporary art.
