Iglesia de los Clérigos

The Clérigos Church is a Baroque church in the city of Porto, in Portugal. Its tall bell tower, the Torre dos Clérigos, can be seen from various points of the city and is one of its most characteristic symbols. Clérigos Tower opened its doors in 1763, becoming the highest bell tower of Portugal, with over 75 metres.

Another card from Porto... The city of Oporto, built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth of the Douro river, is an outstanding urban landscape with a 2,000-year history. Porto City Hall

A card from Porto with its City Hall, one of Porto’s landmarks, situated at the top of Aliados Avenue, at the heart of downtown. Along with Clérigos Tower, this is one of the most famous monuments among tourists. Porto City Hall is an imposing building that dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Also note worthy is the solid 70m high tower with a carillon clock.

Today I got a card from Porto, the second biggest city in Portugal. It's historic centre has been placed on UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites. Situated on steep granite hills along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal, Porto is one of the oldest European centres. The city centre is a jumble of narrow nineteenth century lanes and alleyways. Porto’s main tourist attraction is the Vila Nova de Goia district, which is the historic birthplace of Port wine.
