Piran

May 06, 2021

A beautiful view of Piran promenade with Our Lady of Health Church. This church was first mentioned in the 13th century as the Church of St Clement, the patron saint of sailors. In the 17th century, after the plague epidemic, the church was renamed.

Thanks again Ivana!

Piran

January 26, 2021

Piran is a town in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the three major towns of Slovenian Istria. The town is known for its medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses, for its long pier and Venetian architecture. Tartini Square is the largest and main square in the town of Piran, Slovenia. It was named after violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini, of whom a monument was made in 1896.

Thanks a lot Ivana!
