Rapperswil

Rapperswil-Jona is located in northeastern Switzerland in the canton of St. Gallen. The town is easily accessible from Zurich and is a popular tourist destination due to its location on Lake Zurich and attractions such as the Old Town and Rapperswil Castle.

Knies Kinderzoo

A small beautiful zoo with 9 Asian elephants. Their youngest, Kamon, was born in May earier this year.

Holzbrücke Rapperswil-Hurden

Holzbrücke Rapperswil-Hurden is a wooden pedestrian bridge between the city of Rapperswil and the village of Hurden crossing the upper Lake Zürich.8 The total lenght of the solid oak bridge is 41 metres.

Knies Kinderzoo

Knie's Kinderzoo is a zoo aimed for children in Rapperswil. I still loved it. I wanted to visit the Himmapan elephant park for quite some time and it's very impressive. Of course I didn't go home without a postcard!

Rapperswil-Jona

During my trip to Switzerland I visited Rapperswil-Jona for a day and brought this card showing Rapperswil harbour with  Rapperswil castle and St. John's Church in the background.
Rapperswil is located on the upper end of Lake Zurich and has a Mediterranean holiday atmosphere. Rapperswil earns its name as the town of roses owing to the more than 16,000 roses that flower in the rose gardens of the Capuchin monastery and on the "Schanz" rose garden.
