Yallum Park

Yallum Park is said to be the best preserved Victorian House in Australia in its original condition. Situated eight kilometres west of Penola on the Millicent Road is the magnificent two story homestead, built for John Riddoch in 1878-1880. Original wallpapers, gasoliers, acid-etched and stained glass windows, Italian marble mantle pieces, gold leaf, antique furniture and a number of extremely old pieces of glass, porcelain, silver and brass are some of the features. All decorations date from 1879. The garden, established in 1880, is planted with trees from all parts of the world.

Bute Silo Art

Bute’s silo art punches well above its weight, earning national recognition and plenty of double takes from visitors passing through. The mural, painted by Janne Birkner and Scott Nagy, took out Gold for Best Rural Art and Silver for Best Mega Mural at the 2022 Australian Street Art Awards. At its centre is a young woman, surrounded by scenes of country life, from agriculture and stock to native birds, the Hummocks and the town’s old railway station.

Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park

The Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park is a 14,300 hectare park approximately 25km north of Coober Pedy. An inland sea once covered the Breakaways. Today it is a rocky and colourful landscape that looks like it's from another world. The park has spectacular coloured hills, flat topped mesas and gibber covered plains, locally referred to as moon plain. The entire park is an Aboriginal Heritage site. Visiting the park at sunrise or sunset shows the spectacular changing colours of the landscape at their best.

Barossa Valley

The Barossa Valley is a valley in South Australia located 60 kilometres northeast of Adelaide city centre. The valley is formed by the North Para River. It is a renowned wine-producing region northeast of Adelaide, in South Australia. The area encompasses towns such as Tanunda, Angaston and Nuriootpa, and an array of high-profile wineries offering tours and cellar-door tastings. Shiraz grapes are the local speciality. The stone cottages and Lutheran churches throughout the region are testament to a 19th-century wave of German settlers.

Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species. In the west, Flinders Chase National Park is known for penguin colonies and striking coastal rock formations, like the sculpted Remarkable Rocks and the stalactite-covered Admirals Arch.

Blue Lake

Blue Lake is a large, monomictic, crater lake located in a dormant volcanic maar associated with the Mount Gambier maar complex. The lake is situated near Mount Gambier in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, and is one of four volcanic crater lakes originally on Mount Gambier maar.

Vineyards at Coonawarra

Nestled in the heart of the Limestone Coast of South Australia only a short distance from the Victorian Border, the Coonawarra Wine Region is a comfortable half-day drive from the bustling capital cities of Adelaide (SA) and Melbourne (VIC). Regarded as one of Australia’s most internationally celebrated wine regions, Coonawarra is famous for its vivid red soil - Terra Rossa - and world class wines. Cabernet Sauvignon is by far the most widely planted variety throughout the region, with more than 60 per cent of Coonawarra vines bearing this popular red grape.

Kleinigs Hill Lookout

Kleinigs Hill Lookout is located at the top of the hill along Hindmarsh Road. It offers panoramic views across Victor Harbor, Encounter Bay and Granite Island. The view can be further enjoyed using the telescope at the site. Here you will find Kondoli the whale, amosaic tile whale,the local symbol of reconciliation with the Ramindjeri and Ngarrindjeri people of Victor Harbor.

Mt Lofty Lookout

Mt Lofty Lookout provides a stunning view of Adelaide and its surroundings.

Mount Lofty Summit, the majestic peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills, provides spectacular panoramic views across Adelaide's city skyline to the coast. Each year more than 350,000 people visit the peak which rises more than 710 metres above sea level.

Wilpena Pound

Cradled by ancient mountain ranges on the edge of the desert, Wilpena Pound is the crowning jewel of the Flinders Ranges. It is located 429 kilometres north of Adelaide and is a remarkable natural bowl-like amphitheatre which is 17 km long, 8 km wide and contains 8960 hectares. The primary appeal of Wilpena Pound, apart from the intense beauty of the area, is bushwalking.

The University of Adelaide is a public research university located in Adelaide. Established in 1874, it is the third-oldest university in Australia. The university's main campus is located on North Terrace in the Adelaide city centre, adjacent to the Art Gallery of South Australia, the South Australian Museum, and the State Library of South Australia.

The Big Rocking Horse

The biggest rocking horse in the world, Gumeracha, South Australia.
This giant rocking horse stands 18.3 metres high. It has 3 observation platforms.Visitors can observe a working toy factory and buy from a huge range of toys, souvenirs, etc.
