Charlotte Amalie is the capital and largest city of the U.S. Virgin Islands, located on the southern shore of the island of St. Thomas. The city is widely celebrated for its deep natural harbor, pastel-colored red-roofed buildings climbing the hillsides, and rich colonial history. It serves as one of the busiest cruise ship ports and duty-free shopping hubs in the entire Caribbean.
