Inaugurated in 1957, this remarkable venue is currently undergoing renovations that will boost the capacity to 105,000. Barca have temporarily moved into the Olympic Stadium and are scheduled to return to the revamped Camp Nou in 2025.

Wimbledon

July 13, 2022

A souvenir of my trip to Wimbledon: A view from the Royal Box on Centre Court. Since 2009 a full retractable roof has been in operation enabling play to continue in the event of bad weather or after dark.

One of my favourite courts in the world.

Santiago Bernabéu

November 18, 2021

The Santiago Bernabéu is the home stadium of the Real Madrid football team, and its facilities, including the dressing rooms, trophy room and the dignitaries box, are open to visitors. The stadium opened in 1947 under the name Nuevo Estadio Chamartín. Its current name is in honour of the man who was president of the club for 35 years, Santiago Bernabéu. After various remodelling projects, it is today classified as an elite stadium, and holds the UEFA's highest distinction of five stars. This is the second largest football stadium in Spain, with a capacity of around 80,000 spectators.

Rod Laver Arena

January 22, 2021

Rod Laver Arena is a multipurpose arena located within Melbourne Park, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The arena is the main venue for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tennis tournament of the calendar year. Variously known as 'Flinders Park', the 'National Tennis Centre' or 'Centre Court', officially opened in 1988, the venue was renamed Rod Laver Arena in 2000, in recognition of Rod Laver's remarkable tennis career that saw him achieve the Grand Slam twice and cement himself as Australia's and one of the world's greatest ever male tennis champions.

If not because of covid and closed borders it would be my 5th year to attend the Australian Open this January so I'm crazy happy with this card! Thanks so much Helen.
