Tartu Town Hall Square

Another card with Tartu Town Hall Square in the center of the Tartu Old Town. Since ancient times, the Town Hall Square has been the centre of Tartu.  It is a venue for numerous festivals like Tartu Hanseatic Days, and several bars and restaurants locate in the near vicinity. In front of Town Hall Square locates fountain and sculpture Kissing Students. Every day, bells ring out from the tower of the Town Hall.

Tartu

From Estonia, Tartu Town Hall Square with the Hanseatic Sailing Barge Jõmmu.
Tartu Town Hall Square is the trapeze-shaped central square of Tartu, surrounded by classical buildings. The current town hall is the third building that has been erected to that spot. In the 18th century, the square was the location of the most important market in the city.
