Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Province. Built in the early 19th Buddhist century, the beauty of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is marked by seven-headed serpent statues that line the stairs to the temple where a Chiang Saen style golden pagoda and all its exquisite Lanna architecture is situated. The view of Chiang Mai from here is just phenomenal as well. It is the most important temple in Chiang Mai.

Ko Poda

Ko Poda is an island off the west coast of Thailand, in Krabi Province, about 8 kilometres from Ao Nang. It is part of the Mu Ko Poda, or Poda Group Islands, which are under the administration of Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. Ko Poda is famous for its smooth sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea waters, relatively untouched by human interference. The island’s coastline has a variety of intact coral reefs.

Wat Traphang Ngoen

Wat Traphang Ngoen is a Buddhist temple complex in Sukhothai, Sukhothai Province in the northern region of Thailand. It's part of the Sukhothai Historical Park.

Wat Traphang Ngoen means silver lake monastery. The temple was probably built in the 14th century, around the same time with Wat Mahathat. Wat Traphang Ngoen is oriented so that it is illuminated by both rising and setting sun. The main structures of the temple are a central stupa, the ruins of a vihara, a large Buddha image on a pedestal in the west and an ordination hall on an island in the middle of an artificial lake, Traphang Ngoen (Silver Lake).

The Sukhothai Historical Park ruins are one of Thailand’s most impressive World Heritage sites. The park includes the remains of 21 historical sites and four large ponds within the old walls, with an additional 70 sites within a 5km radius.

Wat Phranon

Mae Hong Son is known for its many Shan style temples. These are quite distinct architecturally from other temples in Thailand. At the base of Doi Kong Mu is the small temple of Wat Phra Non, which literally means 'temple of the reclining Buddha'. Its no surprise then that the major feature of the temple is a large reclining Buddha statue.

Phra Nang bay

Phra Nang Beach in Krabi with the picturesque Phra Nang Cave is one of the most famous beaches in Krabi and at the same time one of the most beautiful places in Thailand: spectacular rock formations, green jungles, monkeys in the trees, fine soft sand and an almost cheesy turquoise-blue sea.

Koh Phi Phi

Ko Phi Phi is a small archipelago of six islands in Krabi Province, Southern Thailand. It is considered to be one of the most naturally beautiful islands in the world. They are located 50 km southeast of Phuket and are part of Had Nopparattara-Ko Phi Phi National Park which is home to an abundance of corals and amazing marine life. There are limestone mountains with cliffs, caves and long white sandy beaches. The national park covers a total area of 242,437 rai.

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew, meaning temple on a glass cliff, is a Buddhist monastery and temple in Khao Kor, Phetchabun, in north-central Thailand. The Wat is set on an 830m peak, a few hundred meters from the town of Kheam Son. The main pagoda and surrounding buildings are adorned with over 5 million colorful mosaic tiles and pottery items and is set in a mountain location. 5 sitting Buddha statues were already finished. There is a stained glass gazebo and a smaller pagoda in the gardens.

CCUN - Thailand

CCUN Thailand with a view from Krabi with Phra Nang Beach, the southern strip of sand in Railay Bay. Phra Nang Beach with the picturesque Phra Nang Cave is one of the most famous beaches in Krabi and at the same time one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.At the top of the beach is the famous Phra Nang Cave, a special kind of rock cave. For local fishermen, this cave, which is often referred to as the Princess Cave, is sacred.

Flags of the World - Thailand

The National Flag of Thailand was officially adopted in 1917. In the local Thai language, the flag is known as Thong Trairong, which translates to the Tricolor flag. In short, Thailand’s flag stands for nation-religion-king, a kind of unofficial motto that Thai people live by. The red stripes represent Thailand’s blood spilt in its bid to maintain independence, the white stands for purity and Buddhism, and blue symbolises the Thai monarchy. The blue stripe also has a double meaning as it stands in solidarity and honours Thailand’s World War I allies, namely Great Britain, France, the United States and Russia, which all have red, white and blue flags.

Thai Khon

Khon, the Khon Masked Dance Drama in Thailand, is a performing art that combines musical, vocal, literary, dance, ritual and handicraft elements. Khon performances which involve graceful dance movements, instrumental and vocal renditions and glittering costumes, depict the glory of Rama, the hero and incarnation of the god Vishnu, who brings order and justice to the world.

Krabi

Krabi Province is a popular beach destination at the Andaman Sea in Southern Thailand., The province is characterized by craggy, sheer limestone cliffs, dense mangrove forests, and more than 150 islands off its 150km-long coast line. The Hong Islands are a small group of tropical Islands a short distance up the coast from Aonang. They have National Park status which thankfully means there can be no development, no resorts and no private beaches.
