Gyeonghoeru

December 01, 2011

Another card today! It was sent from Taiwan but it was bought in Seoul, South Korea. The card features a snow coverd scene of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a section of the Gyeongbokgung Palace (Royal Palace) located in Seoul.

Gyeonghoeru also known as Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, was a hall used to hold important and special state banquets during the Joseon Dynasty. Gyeonghoeru, the largest and most impressive pavilion structure, is registered as Korea's National Treasure No. 224 and represented on the 10,000 won Korean banknotes (1983-2002 Series).
