From Tallinn
March 01, 2012
My 2nd card from Tallinn, capital of Estonia! I just love those medieval towers.
The card shows the Church of the Holy Spirit (Puhavaimu Kirik). It holds a special place in Estonian cultural history as it was the first congregation that started holding services in the Estonian language. The church building dates back to the beginning of 13th century, and served as an almshouse church as well as chapel for the city magistrate.
The card also shows the Parliament building in Toompea Castle, medieval towers of Tallinn & Tallinn by night.
