Zhonghuamen

Zhonghuamen (Gate of Chinese) during the early years of Republic of China.
Standing in the center of today's Tian'anmen Square, it was one of three middle gates of Imperial City during the Ming and Qing dynasties and called Daming (Great Ming) and Daqing (Great Qing) respectively. After the Revolution of 1911, it was renamed Zhonghuamen. The gate was demolished.
