April 11, 2019
A very interesting Unesco card from Australia.
Bundjalung National Parks and Iluka Nature Reserve are part of a major conservation system covering much of the subtropical coast of northern NSW. It protects an area of coastal plain, heathland and solitary beaches between the towns of Iluka and Evans Head.
Iluka Nature Reserve is 136 hectares in area, of which about 90 hectares is littoral rainforest.
The littoral rainforest, one of the last remaining in the Southern Hemisphere, is part of the Coastal group of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Gondwana Rainforests.
