A beautiful day, a gorgeous lake and a magnificent mountain.
Mount Rainier is a large active stratovolcano in Cascadia located 59 miles south-southeast of Seattle, in Mount Rainier National Park. Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous USA, spawning five major rivers .Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and it is on the Decade Volcano list.
