Flags of the World - Guernsey

January 26, 2021

The flag of Guernsey was adopted in 1985 and consists of the red Saint George's Cross with an additional gold Norman cross within it.  The gold cross represents William the Bastard, Duke of Normandy. Each year on Liberation Day a flag is raised on La Grosse Rocque about a mile off Cobo bay on Guernsey's west coast.

Thanks so much for my first card from Guernsey Nathanial!
