Viñales
February 17, 2021
Viñales is a town in western Cuba. Its main street is lined with colorful colonial-era wooden houses, including the Municipal Museum, which explores the region’s history. Orchids and palms fill the sprawling Casa de Caridad Botanical Gardens. Viñales serves as a gateway to the Sierra de los Organos mountains and the Viñales Valley. Viñales is said to be Fidel Castro's favorite place in Cuba. The mountains are beautiful, the farmers grow the best tobacco in the world, and tourists are allowed to mingle with the Cubans and spread money in a nice even sugar-coating.
Thanks a lot Argelio!
