The green background of the Bangladesh flag represents the green landscape and rich vegetation that makes up Bangladesh. It is also said to symbolise hope and importance on the Bangladesh youth. The red in the centre disk of the Bangladesh flag represents the blood the Bengalis shed during the Bangladesh Liberation War and the blood of those who died for the independence of Bangladesh.
