Horseshoe Falls

Surrounded by Tree ferns, Sassafras and Myrtle, Horseshoe Falls is a magestic waterfall located in the lower reaches of Mt Field National Park.

The Horseshoe Falls are situated in the Mount Field National Park, 100 metres upstream of Russell Falls, approximately 70 kilometres  northwest of Hobart. Mount Field National Park is one of Tasmania’s oldest national parks and part of the  Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. It is also one of its most diverse, spectacular glaciated landscapes compete for attention with cascading waterfalls. The landscape ranges from eucalyptus temperate rainforest to alpine moorland, rising to 1,434 metres at the summit of Mount Field West.
