Flags of the World - Gabon
October 08, 2021
Gabon Flag was adopted in 1960 and replaced the previous colonial flag featuring the French Tricolor at the canton. This flag was used by the Gabonese Republic until they gained independence. The colors of the flag transmit cultural, radical, and regional meanings. The yellow mentions to the Equator which cuts across the country and also represents the sun. The green exemplifies the natural resources of Gabon, and extensive forested area. The blue characterizes the sea, the South Atlantic Ocean.
Thanks so much Taouvik!
