Casa Mila

March 06, 2022

Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a Modernista building in Barcelona. It was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912.  Casa Milà has one of the most iconic terraces in the city due to the sculptured chimneys and air vents that Antoni Gaudí designed for this emblematic building. In line with his usual style, Gaudí designed a terrace full of curves, with both decorative and functional purposes, enabling the better distribution of the light through its two enormous inner courtyards. The Sagrada Familia can be seen from the terrace of La Pedrera.
