Maharaja Palace is one of the biggest and the most stunning monuments in the country. Also known as Amba Vilas, it is located in the heart of the city of Mysore. It is one of the most visited monuments and one of the largest palaces in India. The Palace is built in Indo-Saracenic style and blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. It used to be the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace is now converted into a museum that treasures souvenirs, paintings, jewelry, royal costumes, and other items, which were once possessed by the Wodeyars.
