Yellow footed rock wallaby. Their striking yellow tail acts like a rudder to help them balance and change direction when hopping. This species inhabits rocky outcrops and is often associated with permanent or semi-permanent water. Zoos SA has helped to reintroduce these wallabies back to Aroona Dam, South Australia.
Monarto Zoo, is a 1,500-hectare open-range zoo located in South Australia. It is located at Monarto, approximately 70 kilometres from Adelaide's centre. The zoo features several unique attractions, including opportunities to get close to lions and cheetahs, and have interactive experiences with meerkats, black rhinoceros and southern white rhinoceros, and see Australia's largest giraffe herd.
