Horumersiel-Schillig is located in the Friesland district of Lower Saxony. It is situated on the west coast of Jade Bay in the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park. The national park has an area of about 345,800 hectares. The habitats to be protected by this park include the mudflats, salt marshes, beaches, dunes and estuaries on the North Sea.Unesco: Wadden Sea
