Situated just outside of Wentworth is this unique land formation of continuously shifting red sand dunes.
The Perry Sandhills sit on the edge of the flood plain that includes Thegoa Lagoon. They are ancient and include Aboriginal cultural heritage areas. According to geologists, the Perry Sandhills originated after an ice age and are formed by wind erosion over thousands of years. The dunes are located six kilometres outside of Wentworth and are a unique land formation of 400 acres of continuously shifting sand dunes.
