Buyongjeong Pavilion

Buyongjeong is a small pavilion at the edge of Buyongji pond in Changdeokgung. It is located in the heart of the secret garden, a 78-acre area at the rear of Changdeokgung. The secret Garden consists of lotus ponds, pavilions, landscaped gardens, flower beds and water features. Buyongji is a rectangular pond, the name literally means 'Lotus pond'. Buyongjeong pavilion was used by the royal family for private retreats.
