The Paranaguá-Curitiba Railway

The Paranaguá-Curitiba Railway is a railway that connects the cities of Paranaguá and Curitiba. Built between 1880 and 1885 by Antônio Ferrucci and João Teixeira Soares, it has 110 kilometers of track, with 14 tunnels, the largest being 457 meters long, as well as ten intermediate stations and thirty bridges and viaducts. It is one of the most exciting and scenic travel routes in Brazil. It crosses the mountain range along the southern Brazilian coast.
