Icebergs are large piece of freshwater ice that has broken off an ice shelf and is floating freely in open (salt) water. This postcard was sent to me from Maitri, one of India's two operational research stations in the Antarctica (Maitri and Bharati). India has till date successfully conducted 42 annual scientific expeditions.
