Sieseby is located directly on the Schlei and has a ferry dock with several berths and a slipway for launching small boats. In the summer months, the public Schlei boat service calls at the dock. Sieseby is particularly well-known for its numerous restored thatched-roof houses. Since 2000, the town has been the first area monument in Schleswig-Holstein to be listed as a historical monument.
