December 05, 2024
The Jaguar is the largest cat species of the Americas. As a species it has a strong emblematic association to the Brazilian forests and plays an important role in conservation actions. They can be found in a variety of habitats ranging from forest formations like the Amazon forest and the Atlantic forest, to more open environments like the floodplains of the Pantanal and the Cerrado savannahs. They are solitary animals and are most active at dusk and during the night.
