Church of St. George of Vzvoz

The Church of St. George of Vzvoz is a parish Orthodox church in Pskov. Built in 1494 during the Pskov Republic, it is a significant example of Russian religious architecture. Made of limestone, the church is famous for its unique decorative details. The drum is adorned with images of mythical figures and creatures, while the side facades are divided into three sections. Over the centuries, the church has undergone various changes and restorations. Since 2019, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage, recognized for its historical and cultural value.
