The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a zoo in Roeding Park in Fresno, California covering 39 acres and housing over 190 species. Its attractions include Stingray Bay, Dino Dig, Valley Farm, Sea Lion Cove, African Adventure, and Ross Laird's Winged Wonders Bird Show.
In August 2024, not one but two elephants were born at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo from two different mothers. It marked the first time an elephant calf had been born on the property in the zoo's 95-year history. They currently have 5 African elephants. Nolwazi with daughter Amahle, son Thando and grandson Davu and father of the 2 newborns Mabu.
