Fernan Vaz Lagoon is a large lagoon on the Atlantic coast of Gabon, located in the south-west region of Gabon, south of Port-Gentil, north of Loango National park and bordering the Atlantic coast. Today, the lagoon is also home to the commendable Fernan-Vaz Gorilla Project, which has been caring for orphaned gorillas since 2001.
