Uulu's long life was a testament to the care she received at the zoo. Uulu was rescued and brought to the San Francisco Zoo when she was just three years old. She lived to be 36, making her one of the oldest polar bears in any zoo. Her exhibit also served as an educational tool, raising awareness about climate change and polar bear conservation.
