Palazzo Vecchio

February 22, 2026

Palazzo Vecchio is the historic town hall of Florence, Italy, and a premier symbol of the city's civic power for over 700 years. Located in the Piazza della Signoria, this 14th-century fortress-palace features a 94 m tower and houses a museum, the city’s municipal government, and significant Renaissance art, including works by Vasari.  The building represents the heart of Florence, with a replica of Michelangelo's David statue standing outside its entrance. Today, it operates primarily as a museum and city hall, allowing visitors to explore its artistic and historical, often secret rooms.
