The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque, widely known as the Floating Mosque, is Malaysia's first real floating mosque. Built on a concrete platform over a man-made lagoon near the mouth of the Ibai River, the mosque creates an illusion of floating gracefully on the water. The mosque combines modern and Moorish architecture, incorporating the use of marble, ceramics, mosaic works and bomanite paving.
