Kayapó is a male South American tapir born on December 5, 2025, at the ZooParc de Beauval in France. He is the first offspring of parents Mely and Obie. The calf was named in honor of the Kayapó, an Indigenous people of the Amazon, highlighting the species' South American rainforest habitat.
