Watertoren West

The water tower on Hofstede de Grootkade , also known as Watertoren West, in the Dutch city of Groningen, is one of the tallest water towers in the Netherlands, with a height of 56.30 meters. It originally had a single suspended-bottom reservoir of 1,000 m³. In 1925, a second reservoir of 782 m³ was built underneath it. The tower was used by the Germans as an observation tower in 1945. Today The tower is an apartment hotel and skylounge.
