The Pampas deer is one of the iconic, near-threatened large mammals that roam the open grasslands and Cerrado savanna of Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. Alongside the marsh deer, it is a highlight for wildlife spotting. The park is listed as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO for being an outstanding preservation area of the Cerrado, one of the world's oldest and most diverse tropical ecosystems. It's located in the state of Goiás, on the top of an ancient plateau and is noted for its waterfalls. Itis renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and significant geological formations.
