Ballarat Wildlife Park

A beautiful tiger from Ballarat Wildlife Park. In the tiger sanctuary live 2 sumatran tigers, Kai and Akasha. Kai, the tallest tiger in Australia, arrived in Ballarat Wildlife Park in 2022. He was born in 2015 and is the older brother to Akasha. Kai is a very confident and playful cat. He is very inquisitive with new things and loves being around people. He has a special bond with his keepers and will greet them with many ‘chuffs’ each morning. Akasha arrived in 2023. She is a very smart, food-motivated cat who takes particular interest in sensory related enrichment such as scatter feeds and an array of herbs and spices. Akasha weighs in over 120kg and like her brother is very athletic and interactive with her surroundings.

Thank you Daniel!

Safari de Peaugres

March 21, 2025

The largest animal park in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes has been home to African lions since it opened in 1974. Previously on the car circuit, they were transferred to the walking circuit in 2002 in an enclosure crossed by an impressive glass tunnel which allows for a sensational face-to-face encounter! Three lion cubs were born in August 2023, offspring of Kananga and Makani. It had been almost 20 years since the Ardèche zoo had seen such a birth.

Safaripark Beekse Bergen

In Safaripark Beekse Bergen you will find a large group of cheetahs. You will find them along the walking safari, but you can also spot them from the safari bus or your own car. The Safaripark is the studbook keeper of the cheetah. This means that the European breeding program (EEP) for cheetahs is coordinated from Beekse Bergen. Cheetah Daria in Beekse Bergen gave birth to her first litter in February 2024.
