Erlebnis Zoo Hannover - Asian Elephants

More elephants from Zoo Hannover. A lot of them  moved to Pairi Daiza, Belgium. I think these might be some of them: Sitara, Malay and Amithi but I can be totally wrong! Since 2003, 18 calves have been born at Hannover Zoo, 5 in 2010 alone, 14 from the same father, Nikolai.

Erlebnis Zoo Hannover - Asian Elephants

Asian Elephants from Erlebnis Zoo Hannover. They can be found in Jungle Palace, An Indian rainforest exhibit themed as an abandoned Hindu temple with Asian elephants, tigers, leopards, hanuman langurs, and snakes. They currently have 6 female Asian elephants in the zoo: Indra (1973), Manari (1990),Califa (2003), Yumi (2014), Jenny (2016) and Meena (2017).

Erlebnis Zoo Hannover - Polar Bear

A beautiful polar bear from Erlebnis Zoo, Hannover. They have one male and three females polar bears here. Sprinter, born in 2008, has lived in Hannover since 2010 and was one of the first residents of Yukon Bay. Milana, born in 2009, came to Hannover from Russia in 2017. Charlotte came from Nuremberg Zoo in March 2019, where she was born in 2015. Nana, daughter of Sprinter and Milana was born in November 2019. Milana gave birth to twins but one of the cubs died shortly after being born.

The Hannover Adventure Zoo participates in the European Conservation Breeding Program (EEP) for polar bears in order to preserve the species in the long term and to raise awareness for the protection of the habitat.
