Saskatoon

November 06, 2023

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is located along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River.

Saskatoon is The City of Bridges and appropriately named due to the ten structures that span the South Saskatchewan River. These bridges are a vital part of the fabric of the community, and of the history of Saskatoon. Broadway Bridge is an arch bridge, Saskatoon's steepest bridge, with a 4% grade, and the tallest at 24 metres above the river.

Named ‘The Land Of Living Skies’, Saskatchewan is a great place to catch the northern lights in Canada. Some light shows are even bright enough to see from a rooftop in Saskatoon!  It is the province's largest city, and its economic and cultural hub. It has a beautiful setting along the South Saskatchewan River, and makes the most of it with parks and bridges. It's a little oasis among wheat fields.
