Labin is a medieval town located in the southeastern part of Istria, on a 320 meters high hill above Rabac. Labin is divided into two parts, the old town which is a network of winding cobblestone streets on a hilltop overlooking the Kvarner coast and a new town which contains most shops and services at the bottom of the hill. The Old Town is very colorful, offering interesting architecture with Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic elements in many churches, palaces and houses. On the top of the hill, in the old town, there is a fortress Fortica. From there you can enjoy lovely views over Rabac, sea and the Island of Cres.
