
The main market square in Trier with St. Gangolf Church and Steipe Building .The Hauptmarkt is the city's main square.The square is marked by a stone cross that dates back to 958, although the one you see today is a replica as the original has been moved into the City Museum. St. Gangolf's Church is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to St. Gangulphus. After Trier Cathedral, it is the second oldest church building in the city.
