Ginga Falls is located in the Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido. A 24-km stretch of columnar jointing cliffs, the Sounkyo Gorge, which has been carved deep by the Ishikari River, features many waterfalls cascading down it. Among them, the Ryusei-Ginga Falls, with two waterfalls flowing side by side, is so spectacular that it has been selected as one of the Top 100 Waterfalls in Japan.
