Wave Rock is a spectacular natural granite formation in Western Australia that looks exactly like a giant, 15-metre-high ocean wave frozen in time. Located near the small town of Hyden in the Wheatbelt region, this striking "wave" stretches about 110 metres long and forms the northern side of a solitary hill known as Hyden Rock. The granite itself is approximately 2.7 billion years old, making it one of the oldest rocks in the world.
