Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque

The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque, widely known as the Floating Mosque, is Malaysia's first real floating mosque. Built on a concrete platform over a man-made lagoon near the mouth of the Ibai River, the mosque creates an illusion of floating gracefully on the water. The mosque combines modern and Moorish architecture, incorporating the use of marble, ceramics, mosaic works and bomanite paving.

Sultan Mosque

Sultan Mosque, is a widely known religious landmark in Singapore. This mosque, which can be found in the Kampong Glam district, is highly significant in terms of both history and culture. The mosque was officially inaugurated on 27 December 1929, and was given its name in Sultan Hussein Shah's honor. Its historical significance and striking architecture earned it the distinguished status of being named a national monument in 1975, which demonstrates its value to Singapore's cultural heritage. The mosque's distinctive golden domes are adorned with glass bottle ends at the base of the structure.

Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque

The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, or Iron Mosque is the second principal mosque in Putraya, Malaysia after Putra Mosque. It is located in Putrajaya's Precinct 3, opposite the Palace of Justice and next to Islamic Complex Putrajaya, a religious authority headquarters. The mosque can accommodate 20,000 worshippers at a time and was built for the purpose of being a comfortable center of worship and a center for the development of knowledge for the surrounding community and abroad.

Koutoubia

Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh. It is located in the southwest medina quarter of Marrakesh, near the Jemaa el-Fnaa market place, and is flanked by large gardens. It is an important example of Almohad architecture and of Moroccan mosque architecture generally. The minaret tower, 77 metres in height, is decorated with varying geometric arch motifs and topped by a spire and metal orbs. The minaret is considered an important landmark and symbol of Marrakesh.

Putra Mosque

Putra Mosque in Putrajaya features a single minaret consisting of five tiers which rises 116 metres high.
It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas: the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time.

Amir Chakhmaq Complex

Dating back to the 15th century, the Amir Chakhmaq Complex is the center of Yazd's historic old town. It is claimed to be the most significant historic feature in Yazd. It is noted for its symmetrical sunken alcoves. The mosque located on a square of the same name. It also contains a caravanserai, a tekyeh, a bathhouse, a cold water well, and a confectionery. At night, the building is lit up after twilight hours after sun set with orange lighting in the arched alcoves which makes it a spectacle.

Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is one of the largest and oldest mosques in the country and a major landmark and tourist attraction in the capital of the Sultanate of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan. This grandiose, amazing mosque has been named after the 28th Sultan of Brunei, who initialized the construction to serve as a symbol of the Islamic faith in the country. The mosque is influenced by Mughal architecture and dominates the skyline of the capital city. Built in an artificial lagoon on the banks of the Brunei River at Kampong Ayer, the mosque has marble minarets and golden domes, a courtyard and is surrounded by a large number of trees and floral gardens.

Hagia Sophia

Malacca Chinese Mosque

Malacca Chinese Mosque is a Chinese-style mosque in Krubong, Malacca. The mosque has a unique Chinese architecture design with pagodas and Chinese calligraphy from a combination of architectural design of several mosques in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an in China. It has one minaret tower and two domes and is equipped with the main prayer hall, library, multipurpose hall, offices, koi ponds and a restaurant inside. With a total built up area of 2.8 hectares, the mosque can accommodate up to 2,000 worshipers.

Sixty Dome Mosque

The Sixty Dome Mosque  is a mosque in Bagerhat.  It is the largest mosque in Bangladesh from the sultanate period and is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site the Mosque City of Bagerhat. The magnificent city, which extended for 50 km2, contains some of the most significant buildings of the initial period of the development of Muslim architecture of Bengal. They include 360 mosques, public buildings, mausoleums, bridges, roads, water tanks and other public buildings constructed from baked brick.

Al-Abbas Shrine

The Al-Abbas Shrine is the mausoleum of Abbas ibn Ali and a mosque, located  in Karbala. The shrine is especially revered by the Shia who visit it every year, in the month of Muharram rather than various other times of the year. Each year the shrine is visited by millions of pilgrims coming from all over the world.

Naghsh-e Jahan Square

The Meidan Emam, also known as Naghsh-e Jahan Square, is a public urban square in the centre of Esfahan, a city located on the main north-south and east-west routes crossing central Iran. It is one of the largest city squares in the world and an outstanding example of Iranian and Islamic architecture. 
Built by Shah Abbas I the Great at the beginning of the 17th century, and bordered on all sides by monumental buildings linked by a series of two-storeyed arcades, the site is known for the Royal Mosque, the Mosque of Sheykh Lotfollah, the magnificent Portico of Qaysariyyeh and the 15th-century Timurid palace.
